Travertine blocks enter the cutting in 2 different ways. The first one is the so-called Turkish cut, also known as waterway cut (vein-cut). The second is the American form of cross cut. American cutting is the case of horizontal cutting of the block. If requested, special fillings are used to fill the pores of the travertine. Different alternatives can also be applied as edge processing; in addition to standard straight cutting, chamfer edge processing, herringbone edge processing, antique edge with aging and rustic edge breaking (Chiseled) processes are applied. Rustic edge breaking is a roughly broken edge process. Polished surface, aged surfaces (Antique appearance), honed surface (Matte), brushed surface (Patinato) can be applied as a surface treatment. Nowadays, it is also in demand, especially as aging and blasting.
